Large antique lithographed tin box for Pupier chocolate powder in Saint-Étienne. The main design features a female figure walking towards the rising sun, in a composition very typical of Belle Époque advertising aesthetics, inspired by Art Nouveau graphic codes. The other sides bear the commercial inscriptions "Pupier Cocoa Powder," "Guaranteed Pure," as well as promotional text detailing the product's nutritional qualities. The background is decorated with a stylized "P" monogram. The box as a whole is a fine example of early 20th-century French food advertising, with elegant and instantly recognizable iconography.
