Rare antique anatomical model representing a human brain in cross-section, probably used for medical or scientific education. Made of molded and hand-painted papier-mâché/boiled cardboard, this 5-part disassemblable model presents different parts of the cerebral anatomy with representation of the hemispheres, cerebellum, brainstem and internal structures. The different sections are assembled with small metal rods, allowing for the study of the various anatomical cross-sections. A beautiful antique scientific object with a strong decorative presence, sought after for medical collections, curiosity cabinets, and old pharmacy settings.
