Rare antique white porcelain cosmetic jar for the famous "Cold Cream" marketed by Roberts & Co. The object bears witness to the golden age of cosmetics and perfumery during the Belle Époque, when beauty houses were developing their networks between Paris and London. The lid retains an elegant black typographic design and the company's double business address: 5 Rue de la Paix in Paris and 76 New Bond Street in London. This type of container was intended to hold a protective cream for the face and hands, used daily by wealthy clients at the end of the 19th century.
