Rare antique Grey mustard pot from Dijon in white earthenware, with a cylindrical body and a high neck finished with a rounded rim. Its finely drawn black decoration features three medallions: in the center, two overlapping profiles accompanied by the words "London 1851"; on each side, laurel wreaths surrounding the inscriptions "Dijon 1845" and "Paris 1849". Volutes and foliage frame the name GREY in white letters on a black background, the inscription "Mustard manufacturer" and a ribbon bearing the name DIJON. The side texts recallthe founding of the house in 1777, its address at 12 rue du Chapeau-Rouge and the presence of the house's stamp on its pots. Below the base is the mark "Creil et Montereau - L.M. & Cie - Opaque porcelain", corresponding to the Lebeuf, Milliet et Cie factory.
