Félix Potin advertising pot in earthenware with black typographic decoration, intended to contain a food preparation for "Garniture de Vol au Vent". This type of product corresponds to the fine food and preserved goods business developed by Félix Potin in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. An 1895 advertisement already attests to the distribution of "Félix Potin food products", while an old source also mentions a "Vol-au-vent, financial sauce, Potin brand", confirming that the company indeed marketed this type of culinary preparation. The particularly decorative typographic composition of the inscription "Vol au Vent", associated with the low and wide shape of the container, makes it a much rarer variant than the classic Félix Potin jam pots.
