Humorous box from the "Cuckoo" series, number 7, published after the Liberation by the Manufacture Française de Surprises Enfantines (Nieppe, Nord). The illustration shows a dog looking for a place to urinate among the ruins of Berlin, against the backdrop of an "Adolf Strass" sign—a biting satire of the fall of the Nazi regime and the total destruction of the Reich's capital. Dark humor typical of the immediate post-war period.

✦ Origin: France, Nieppe (Nord)
✦ Estimated period: 1945 (WW2)
✦ Dimensions: 8x6x2.5 cm
✦ Material: Multicolor printed cardboard
✦ Condition: Very good overall condition, colors well preserved, slight signs of age

A rare example of popular post-liberation humor — a reflection of collective relief and French derision in the face of the fall of Nazi Germany.
