A superb antique seal in patinated metal , finely decorated with a stylized fleur-de-lis at the top, the iconic emblem of French royalty. The shaft features a sculpted relief design, alternating between a textured sphere, ropework, and a molded base. The removable seal is engraved with the initials "AC" . This type of object, both utilitarian and symbolic, was used to seal personal correspondence or private documents with wax, and also resembles a distinctive desk accessory.
