A promotional counter game, sometimes called a "fun sale," used in small shops, at fairs, and carnivals to encourage shopping: a colored ticket is torn off, a number is revealed, and the price printed in old francs is paid for a chance to win a small prize. This version features wide colored stripes and black typography with a portrait of a fakir. The copy is clean and well-contrasted; note that three tickets are missing, there are slight brown marks from the glue under some of the stripes, the corners are sharp, and the cardboard is flat.
