This antique game of skill , typical of educational and recreational products from the late 19th century, involves catching a metal carp with a small, suspended hook . Presented in a charming chromolithographic-style illustrated box, it humorously evokes the joys of fishing. The internal mechanism consists of a metal plate cut in the shape of a fish, fixed to the bottom of a box lined with green felt, with a few obstacles to avoid in order to successfully hook the fish. A fine example of a precision game intended for children… and collectors.
