This is from the series "Attributes au pochoir" (Stencil Attributes ), published by Raymond Bilard in Le Mans around 1900. This sheet brings together several illustrated and colorful shop signs: Aux Merveilles de la Mer – Jouets & Coquillages (At the Wonders of the Sea – Toys & Shells), Grand Bazar Universel ( Universal General Bazaar), Fleuriste – Jardinier – Pépinière (Florist – Gardener – Nurseryman), and Quincaillerie ( Hardware Store). The marine motifs, garden tools, and painted typography testify to the expertise of the decorative painters of the Belle Époque, masters of the art of stenciling and handcrafted advertising composition.
