A rare, complete 78-card tarot deck , large format, from an early edition of the Grand Etteilla , also known as the Egyptian Tarot . Created in the late 18th century by the occultist Jean-Baptiste Alliette (known as Etteilla), this deck is one of the most influential in European esoteric cartomancy. Each card is superbly hand-illustrated in chromolithography, accompanied by a French name, astrological symbols, and initiatory scenes (death, the devil, heaven, strength, plants, etc.). Sturdy cards with square corners and high-quality printing.
