Rare 17th-century manual of drawing and artistic anatomy, attributed to Jean Cousin and revised by the Parisian engraver François Jollain. Oblong volume illustrated with numerous copperplate engravings showing facial proportions, muscular anatomy, human body structure, studies of hands, heads, poses, and the famous final plate of the three skeletons. A key testimony to drawing pedagogy at the end of the 17th century, in used but complete condition, with the authentic character of an old studio manual.
