Antique wall thermometer with a white enameled metal plate, graduated in degrees Celsius, intended for domestic, craft, or agricultural use. The simple and highly legible design, with symmetrical black numerals on either side of the capillary tube, is typical of early 20th-century French utilitarian thermometers. The glass tube still contains its original red liquid, clearly visible, housed in a perforated metal support that provides protection and secures the bottom. The black painted metal back panel shows the reservoir's retaining mechanism. Its narrow, elongated shape is typical of wall thermometers found in entryways, workshops, or outbuildings.
