A superb pair of shoe polish tins from the iconic Lion Noir brand, specializing in leather care since the late 19th century. These two models, made of black and gold lithographed metal, feature the famous roaring lion, a symbol of power and brilliance. Produced in Montrouge (Paris), they were designed for all types of leather shoes. One of the tins bears the inscription " Wartime Production – Price Reduction ," a distinctive mark of manufacture during World War II. The set perfectly illustrates the evolution of advertising and industrial design during periods of crisis.
